Reverend Michael C.W. Woolf was born and raised in rural Alabama.  He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee in 2011 with a BA in religious studies.  After which, he earned a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School in 2014.
He was ordained at the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain in 2014 by a unanimous vote of delegates from the Boston Southwest Association.  A lifelong Baptist, Rev. Woolf began discerning his call to ministry in high school, where he credits a particularly talented youth minister who helped him realize the call that God had placed on his life.

During seminary, he served as student chaplain at an ecumenical chaplaincy on MIT's campus, as well as a student pastor at the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain.
Following this experience, he served as a the Associate Pastor for Youth and Families at the First Baptist Church in Lexington.  Prior to answering the call to Green Street Baptist, he served as pastor of the First Baptist Church in Swansea, the oldest Baptist church in Massachusetts.
